AGM Meeting Minutes Date: June 10, 2021

Year in Review (GP):
● This year has made many things different in dealing with the pandemic in guidelines and reporting, masking, cleaning; and while they all seemed impossible at the outset, we made it work.
● Overall, the school year was successful we had no cases and this is as a result of parents being conscientious about keeping kids home when they weren’t well. This kept us all safe and we thank all the families for their cooperation.
● Also, in the past three months, the school community came together to support Denise and in doing so, got to know and support one another. The environment is very positive, families have made it so strong
● The children are learning and learning how to interact with one another. We take our lead from them, they are the experts in what to learn.
Next Year (GP/TM)
● For next year, there will be information coming out with important dates for the coming year, along with the Parent handbook which will have some revisions shortly
● Mme. Gigi will be on Maternity leave for the 2021/22 school year
● Interviews for a new lead teacher/director start next week
Registration (SB)
● 16 in the M/W/F class; 8 in the T/R class
● For now, we will be staying with 2 cohorts and morning classes only. This may change in the future to mornings and afternoons, and no cohorts.
Rebranding (TM)
● In light of the discovery of the graves of 215 Indigenous children and the connection Bishop Grandin had a role in establishing residential schools the Board proposed the new name Préscolaire des Petites Étoiles (translation: Little Stars Preschool)

● This will be a summer rebranding project and we are working with a local graphic designer to create a new logo
5. Updated Bylaws
● The board presents the updated bylaws for consideration and approval at the AGM. They were modernized and reviewed by a lawer

6. Board Election
● Sophia LAST NAME motions to reappoint Tammy Majeau as President, Joanna Bourne as
Treasurer, and Dave Bourne as Payroll Administrator, BL seconds motion; all in favour

● Casino Coordinator- Amy Richards

Positions that still need to be filled:
● TM motions to fill the positions of Vice President and Fundraising Coordinator with parents who were unable to attend/ DB seconds, all in favour
