FLIGHT CURRICULUM.
The purpose of Flight Curriculum is to articulate a set of broad holistic play-based goals for children's learning and care instead of specific learning outcomes. Nurture children's dispositions to learn. Work with families, building and strengthening early childhood communities, in the care and learning of their children.
Early learning and child care curriculum frameworks embrace children’s everyday experiences. The frameworks describe and interpret these experiences through play, participation and possibilities.
Children’s play is central to this curriculum framework as an active, exploratory, creative, expressive process, deeply embedded in children’s everyday experiences and through which children participate in, learn about, and actively make sense of the world.
OUR TEACHERS.
MME. GIGI. I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and have been in the early learning and child care field for more than ten years. I have worked with children of all age groups, and pre-school is one of my favourites. Through the years, I've learned to enjoy leadership roles as an administrator but I always go back to my first love: being in the classroom. I find facilitating learning, discovery and exploration through meaningful play experiences especially rewarding. I’m a lifelong learner. It's never too early or too late to learn new things. I aim to impart a love for learning to my students, and celebrate their efforts and achievements however big or small. Aside from learning, I also enjoy going for long walks with my family, reading books, window shopping with my preschooler, and eating caramel popcorn!
MME. DENISE. I am so excited to be back to school and meet my old and new friends! I have a Bachelor of Administration and HR. I wanted to try something new and it has been six years since I started working at this preschool. I speak more than two languages and French is my first language. Teaching children is my favourite and I love working with children! J’ai hate de vous service avec toute ma passion.
OUR PARENT BOARD.
PRESIDENT. My name is Marian. My son is attending the preschool this year. I love travelling but i dislike being on a plane. Travelling teaches you to learn and unlearn habits. I enjoy people watching at airports and train stations, it's like watching so many movies all at once with me being the story writer.
VICE PRESIDENT. My name is Amy and I have 2 children. My oldest will be attending the school for the a second year and this is my second year on the board. Before children, I was an Environmental Technician working to clean up old oil and gas sites around the province. In my free time I like to camp, sew, paint, boardgame, cook, garden, and travel.
TREASURER. I am Joanna. I have two kids that have attended the preschool and this will be my sixth year on the board. I work in the finance field and enjoy skiing and travelling with my family. I am looking forward to another amazing year!

SECRETARY. My name is Lina and I have a son and a daughter. My son will be attending preschool for his second year starting Sept 2023. This will be my second year on the board. I work in healthcare as a registered nurse. In my free time, we love to bike as a family and travel.

Please keep an eye on the weekly/monthly newsletter and calendar for other dates the preschool may be closed, or have changed class times due to field trips, partnership programs, in-house visitors etc.
September 2 (Tue) - Preschool opens
The week of September 2-5 is “staggered entry”. This is when children are scheduled to come in once during this week to keep class sizes small.
